Rotimi Akeredolu and his deputy Agboola Ajayi have been involved in a serious political battle, which led his deputy to decamp to PDP.
The deputy governor of Ondo state, Mr. Agboola Ajayi, who recently joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has asked Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to hand over to him.
His statement came as a reaction to a statement released by Ondo commissioner for information, Donald Ojogho. He said the government would never allow his Deputy to take control of the state.
Ajayi stated that he ought to be the acting governor since Akeredolu is partially incapacitated after testing positive for Coronavirus.
The Deputy Governor insisted that the Governor’s refusal to allow him to take control of the state violates the country’s constitution.
